I apologize for not posting any new blogs lately. It is very safe to say that we have been BEYOND busy out here! We have a bunch of new dogs and I will be posting their pics and info later today as well as another blog about updates that are happening currently… but, before I do that, I wanted to take a moment and remind everyone of exactly WHY we do what we do every day….
30 days ago I rescued a very sad boy who had entirely given up. He had no drive to continue… he didn’t care about eating, he barely moved unless he had to. He was very sick and all but dead… Today, 30 days later, he not only is alive, but he is happy. He scarfs down every bit of food we put in front of him. He enjoys playing in his water bucket and loves to watch birds. He enjoys learning, he loves to nap on pillows, and he thinks his pit bull little sister is too hyper, but shes fun to watch. Sometimes I think I see him laugh. He still has a very long way to go. He is going to have to have surgery to repair his eyes, as well as surgery on his hips, and back legs. However, he is not in pain and he doesn’t care about the parts of him that are still broken. He is loved and he is happy and that is all that matters. Life is worth it for him now, THAT is why we do what we do.
Congratulations, Solomon. You have come a LONG way in 30 days, baby.
